Closet Clean out What to keep what to toss?

Image
Spring is finally here and it's the perfect time to spring clean your closet. Out with the old and in with the new. Here is an easy to follow checklist to help to give you the ideal wardrobe filled with items you want to wear. This will make you excited to get dressed in the morning and your fashion life less cluttered. I'm working on clearing mine out, so I am going to take you through my process. To Toss 1. Anything that is too small I know we all say "hey, I'm going to lose the weight, it goes up and it goes down." But, to be completely honest, I never go for those clothes because I am worried they might not fit and I never reach for them. These items are just taking up inventory space. Time to let go and if you do lose the weight, treat yourself to a new outfit to celebrate! 2. Anything that is worn or damaged This goes mostly for my PJs and workout gear. I always seem to keep these items way too long and they get so worn, even with holes...

5 ways to be more confident.

Here are my tips to help you be less hard on yourself. It's time to strut our stuff and feel our true beauty both inside and out! A confidence boost is something that looks great on everyone. Here are my five tips to ensure that your confidence grows. 1.  Doing something you are good at. I'm not saying change careers, I'm saying have a hobby. Make sure it's something you enjoy and you're good at. Then share that with other like-minded people. Maybe you start a fashion blog like me. This was something I always wanted to do. Sharing my passion with my friends and others around the world is just so neat. For me, I love helping other woman feel so good about themselves. I'm that friend you take shopping when you have an event to go to and you're clueless. Don't worry, you will say yes to the dress and not have it cost your shirt either. Now that I'm sharing this passion, I'm meeting some incredible people from all over the world. It just...

My designer Shoe collection! How I got up to 80% off retail!

Image
This is for my shoe lovers! You are my people and you totally get me! Now, I'm very proud of my small collection, especially the price I paid. I'll let you in on all my secrets and how you can afford to start your collection too. So get yourself cozy, grab a hot tea or iced latte and let's get to it one shoe at a time. Let's start with how I can afford these beautiful shoes. I've been collecting them for a little over four years now. I waited until we bought our house and I felt like I was in a good place financially to spend a little extra money on designer shoes. I also buy my shoes second hand from sites like Therealreal.com and Poshmark . I can get them for well under their original retail value. I also sold a lot of my shoes (on Poshmark ) that I just wasn't wearing anymore. I have less shoes now and no regrets. To be completely honest, I'm not spending that much more money than I would be normally. I was someone that would go shoe shopping o...

Designer Dupes! Save that Coin!

Image
I love designer items but not the price tag. I do love to save that coin! Here are my favorite dupes I've purchased to get the style for less. I'll include links for items if they are still available. Also pictured are the designer items and the links for them. Some of the photos are from Pinterest which I have linked for you as well. Now, let's begin! Hope you enjoy! First category is shoes. Now for me, I do have a small designer shoe collection, but all of these items were purchased preloved. I find it really hard to pay more than $500 on shoes that just touch the ground and get dirty. I just can't justify it. So I do try to get them used and or find a great dupe. I'm going to do a post with my entire designer shoe collection next week, so make sure to check that out.  The Gucci loafer Photo Credit Pinterest I'm so in love with this trend. I just think it makes every outfit instantly look high fashion. I love the look but I just cant spend $1,00...
