My designer Shoe collection! How I got up to 80% off retail!
This is for my shoe lovers! You are my people and you totally get me! Now, I'm very proud of my small collection, especially the price I paid. I'll let you in on all my secrets and how you can afford to start your collection too. So get yourself cozy, grab a hot tea or iced latte and let's get to it one shoe at a time.
Let's start with how I can afford these beautiful shoes. I've been collecting them for a little over four years now. I waited until we bought our house and I felt like I was in a good place financially to spend a little extra money on designer shoes. I also buy my shoes second hand from sites like Therealreal.com and Poshmark. I can get them for well under their original retail value. I also sold a lot of my shoes (on Poshmark ) that I just wasn't wearing anymore. I have less shoes now and no regrets. To be completely honest, I'm not spending that much more money than I would be normally. I was someone that would go shoe shopping once every few months and get five pairs on super sonic sale. Like from DSW or Charolette Russe. Now, instead of getting those five pairs I'm getting one pair for around the same price.
Now let's start with the best the Heels!
Manolo Blahnik
Manolo's are the shoes I dream about. Anyone who has a thing for shoes knows what I'm talking about. If there was one shoe designer that I had to wear for the rest of my life it would be this brand. Not only are the shoes gorgeous and iconic, they are comfortable! I'm not saying I would spend a whole day walking around a city in my heels (Carrie Bradshaw I am talking to you) but I will say I am comfortable enough wearing them throughout a whole day. I have also been known/caught by husband to just be in my closet and wearing my Manolo's. I tend to do this a lot in the winter time since there is no way I am taking them out in all that snow. I feel these are totally worth the price of around $500 to $700 a shoe depending on the material and type. These shoes are handmade and the attention to detail is incredible! Just look at those crystal! Investing in a pair of Manolo's is always a great idea because these will never go out of style.
Warning Sex and the City references throughout this segment. I have three pairs of Manolo's I know these will not be the last. First this first shoe is my most expensive and my favorite (why doesn't that surprise anyone.)
The Carrie engagement shoe.

Aqua Satin Manolo Blahnik Hangisi pointed-toe pumps with tonal stitching, crystal embellishments. This shoes retails for $995! I know!! I didn't pay that so don't worry Mom! These shoes remind me of Cinderella! They are incredibly well made. I wish I could have you hold them and feel them in real life! I got these on the therealreal on sale and paid only $500 for them. I decided to do payments on them and took a small three month loan on affirm, (these payment came right out of my checking for three months). So when you break it down in to three payments of $166, it's not terrible. Needless to say that was my whole shopping budget for the month, but so worth it! I also made this my birthday present to myself and from my husband. Sometimes we justify these big purchases but it's totally worth it because I truly would choose shoes and handbags over jewelry every time.
Next are my Sex and the City shoes.

The Manolo Blahnik Sedaraby Silver Tone Leather pumps with tonal stitching throughout and jewel embellishments at straps. Quick Sex and the City recap: these were the heels that got stollen from Carrie at a party where her friends made her take her shoes off at the door. Spolier: She gets the friend to buy them again for her. Even though her friend tried to shoe shame her. I know the nerve! These shoes retailed for around $595 and has since been discontinued but I bought these on therealreal for just $171. They even totally look cute with jeans and a t-shirt!

Retail $595 Purchase $250 Savings 58% |
Got these in the Saks sale. These were my first pair of Manolo's and I got them for only $250. These were a birthday gift to myself. Everyone who gave me cash that year, my foot salutes you! Manolo always does the BB pointed pump and changes the prints on the pump. The perfect pointed shoe in my opinion. My toes never feel cramped in them.
Gianvito Ross

The sexiest shoe I own, the Black velvet Gianvito Rossi Plexi pointed- toe pumps with clear PVC panels at the sides and tonal stitching. These shoes just gives you legs for days. There is such controversy on toe cleavage with this shoe! I know some people have a negative feeling about seeing toes, but your girl has cute feet and says go ahead take a peek. These shoes do run a little small so I sized up to a 38. They retail for $795 and I got these on Ebay from a reseller who only wore them once for a photo shoot. I scored these for $300 with shipping. They also came with the box and dust bag too! These are now my only black pump and to be honest, these are the only ones I really need!
Christian Louboutin

Retail $900 Purchase $345 Savings 62% |
Now the seconded sexiest pair and the most uncomfortable shoe is my Indigo Suede and paten leather Christian Louboutin Galata Pumps toes, purple snakeskin cap toes, pink PVC detail at sides. These were a push present after having my son. When nothing fits you but your shoes! These retail for around $900 but I got them for $345. Even though they are hard on the feet, they really do make you feel so beautiful. I was at my friends wedding and she stopped me and said are those bottoms red! I do want to get more red bottoms, but I will just go for a lower heel. Over four inches is just too much for these piggies.
The Boots.

I only have two pairs of designer boots and I got both of them this year. Now these are an expensive boot, even on sale. However, they're never going to go out of style. Living in Erie PA, I need boots during the winter. My heels get a break and then these come out to play. It just makes me feel put together and fashion forward. I also spray the boot with a suede protecter every year and the snow is no problem for these babies! The ones I have are Suede Stuart Weitzman Lowland and Highland thigh-high boots in black and grey. These are seriously Gorgeous (with a capital G) and I think for the price I got them at, they're worth it. The same boots that are trying to be like these are always close to $100 or more. I bought each of these for $300 and that's cheaper for two than for the retail price for one! They retail for $795, but note that these do go on sale in the off season for just under $500. I recommend getting them second hand, the boot is so well made that they'll be in great shape.
Sandals
Chloe
I have two pairs of Chloe shoes and they happen to be sandals. I just love the style of Chloe. When I wear these shoes I just feel like I am so cool. Like I am a totally cool Mom or Mum as my son calls me. I still know what's up or as my generation would say Wazzzzz Uaaaaaaaaaaap!!

These are my favorite go-to sandal. I just love everything about them! I now want them in another color and also want the higher sandal to the knee. They're so comfortable and they make any outfit effortless. These are since discontinued but they retailed for around $550 and I bought these for just under $150, used and in great condition. I've had them for four seasons, and they're starting to look a little worn. I'm still going to wear them until the heels fall off though, I love them that much. I will probably have a funeral when the time comes. I don't even want to think about it.
I majorly scored wit my second Chloe sandal the round toe Espadrilles black leather lace ups.

Retail $500 Purchase $55 Savings 89% |
These shoes were by far my best deal yet! I scored these babies on Poshmark for $55! Original retail was just under $500. These are comfortable and just look so boho chic. Poshmark is a great way to get a deal on designer shoes. Tip: always read the buyer reviews before you buy. I just had one time that I was sold a fake bag, I contacted Poshmark and I sent it back. Most sellers on there are honest and just trying to downsize their closet to make some extra cash. When I'm looking for a particular item, I always search on there first because chances are I will get a better deal than regular consignment.
Now the flats and lets start with my favorite and my newest Poshmark Score!

These were a big purchase and I did layaway again. Now I love them and I don't regret it one bit. These retail for around $800 and I got these for $450 on Therealreal. I did layaway from Affirm again and spread out the payments. I could have paid for them upfront but Affirm was doing a no interest deal, so I decided to go with the payments. I just love items that are different from everyone else and these are that! I never see these on pinterest or instagram! I love that even though they are loud they don't scream "Gucci!!!!" They just say yaaaassss!! So what?! My shoes talk.

I know that even at these prices designer shoes are still a stretch for some budgets, but I wanted to show that you can get designer shoes on a huge discount. Look at your closet, what items could you sell and would that add up to some second hand Manolo's! Who cares if someone wore them already. As soon as you wear them they are used so why not save a lot of coin to #getyourchictogether.
