Does it cost more to be a woman?

Image
I know what you are thinking, of course it cost more to be a woman!  Most of them love to shop and have like a million shoes! I'm not talking about shoes, clothing and accessories. I'm talking about the basic needs and necessities that almost all women will purchase in their life. We're talking health insurance and good old tampons for Miss Flo. This is why woman are taking to the streets to have their voices heard. Sometimes I think when people are shouting no one is listening and I know those fab pink hats can distract from the issues at hand, so let me break it down for you. First of all what is the Pink Tax? The "Pink Tax" is referring to the tax that is put on "Feminine Products." In a nutshell they are taxed as a non necessity item. Even though most women use them once a month for 30 years of their lives. Though this percentage varies state to state, only  5 states  have made these items tax free. Those are Pennsylvania, Maryland, Massachus...

10 habits of successful people. That you should do too!

Here are some habits that I've been doing this year and they seem to be helping. I'm not saying they lead to instant success, they are keeping me on track and I see success in my future. I'm not feeling the self doubt that normally happens when I start or try something completely out of my comfort zone. Like this blog and starting my own reselling business, which is something I've always wanted to do. I would always say to myself: you have no idea how to build a business from scratch!  However,  by applying these habits I've slowly began accomplishing goals and making dreams a reality.  1. They write their goals down.  When you look at your goals and take the time to put them to paper, they seem more real and more attainable than when they are still in your head. The" Me Too" Movement. What Should I Say To My Son?

Image
I think this movement is something that has been a long time coming. All of us women, and even men, have had a time in our lives were we either witnessed or have been personally affected by sexually harassment or assault. Raising a son, my husband and I feel as if we have a huge responsibility in teaching him how to treat women and shatter the stereotype that "boys will be boys." I'm raising a man who I know will do great things, as long as we give him the tools for success. My Story br /> I'd like to start off with briefly telling you about my story. Now this is not something that many people know, but some people who went to high school with me may think that they know. Just going to give you the short version but, the main point is how it changed me into the woman I am today. I was 17, senior in high school and there was a boy 18 sitting in front of me in English class who would constantly bother me. He would say vulgar things that he wanted to do to me...

So I went and saw a Medium. Here's how it went.

Pappy and Myself I know this may be a controversial post based on what others believe, but I'm just speaking my truth and about my experience. Now this is not something I ever thought I would do but an opportunity presented itself, so I went! One of my best friends went to a group session (she went to support one of her friends) and was very impressed. You don't give your full name and you only pay in cash so there is no way of her knowing who is coming ahead of time. She prays before she begins and explains that she see's pictures and will describe them. I thought, well my friend has similar beliefs to me and thought it was an interesting and positive experience, so why not? What I believe Meme and Pappy Figure I will give you a little back ground on my current beliefs in the spiritual world. Yes, I believe in ghosts and spirits. I also believe in God and heaven, but also know I have no idea how it works and assume that our loved ones are able to stay in ...
