Used is the "New" way to shop and Jammies are the dress code.

I love love love, let me say it one more time, love secondhand shopping. And with today's technology you can do it in your jammies! Here are five of my favorite places to second hand shop online, and the deals are way too good to ever buy new again. I remember in high school that hand-me-downs were suppose to make you feel less than, but I never thought that way as a kid. If my friends or family didn't want something, I was like yes please! People seemed to still like my style and I believe that the second hand stigma is not really a thing anymore. Remember, if you have confidence you can rock anything! Buying a shirt doesn't have to cost you your shirt! Not unless you resell an old shirt to get yourself that new shirt. A little second hand humor for you.

Poshmark

I always check here before I buy any item I'm loving in the store. For example, I was looking for new Stuart Witzmen 50/50 Boots. They go on sale in the summer for around $400. Now before you judge how expensive they are, you just need to look at the pictures and reviews on Youtube. Once you have a pair you will want more trust me. They are a wardrobe game changer. Anyway I check my go to second hand places: The Real Real and Poshmark. The Real Real was selling them in good but worn condition for $295 plus $12 shipping. So less money but pretty worn. Now enter Poshmark! A seller had them in like new condition for $250 plus $7 shipping. So I saved $150 off retail and another $50 off consignment prices. You can also sell your like new items and use that credit for new items! Trust me once you start "poshing" you'll never stop!

Thredup

This is my favorite place to shop for clothing for my son as well as myself. You can find incredible deals on name brand new items with tags and gently used clothing. I also like to sell some items to them for the store credit. Now, items they sell may not be from the current season like Poshmark but you'll be able to find those wardrobe staples to keep you fashionable all year.

The Real Real

This is my stop for my designer shoes. There are always great deals and a large selection. You can also use affirm for a short term loan for the items you are interested in. I did this with my Gucci slippers and my Manolo Hangisi. I divided the payments into three months with a small interest charge. I have never consigned with them but this is definitely something I'm going to do in the future.

Fashionphile

This is my favorite place to shop for handbags. They make buying, selling, and loving handbags a breeze. Biggest bonus is they have layaway, which means you can divide you payments up and it won't cost you any interest. You just have to pay them off within 60 days and there's a charge if you cancel. Almost all of my designer bags are from this site. The best part is that they give you an offer to sell back your bag you purchased from them in 180 days. So you can wear a bag, enjoy it for two seasons and then send it back and use that money for another purchase. Accessories are my weakness and Fashionphile gives me guilt free shopping. They always have the "it" bags. I don't know how they do it, but I'm glad they do.

So shop and drop on the couch. Put your hair in a top knot and start upgrading your wardrobe. Let the fools pay full price while you stay fabulous with extra money in your "new" used pockets.
