Resolutions You Can Stick With
Here are some New Years Resolutions which are the easiest to stick to, with the help of todays technology! I remember watching the Jetsons and wondering what the world would be like in the future. We may not have flying cars, but we're living high when it comes to services and mobile tech. Looking forward to a new year! Here are some ways to make year 2019 "simply" better.
Saving Money
There's an app for that! You can easily accomplish this by trying a savings app. The two that I enjoy using are Acorn and Robinhood. Acorn is by far the easiest, but both have their uses. You just set up a monthly savings amount and it automatically withdraws (on the day of your choosing) from your checking into your account. They also have a round up feature that will round up the money you spend from your bank account to the nearest dollar. So when you spend $20.90 they will round up to $21 and .10 will be counted towards your acorns account. Once you have $5 total it'll deposit it for you. No thinking involved after you set it up, just let the app go to work!

Healthier Eating and Cooking
Nowadays, there are plenty of food delivery services that make eating and cooking healthier so much easier. I use Hello Fresh food service and they send me recipes and the exact amount of fresh ingredients needed. It's fun to learn new recipes and not having to do any of the grocery shopping for meal planning is icing on the cake. They also offer special holiday boxes which feed a bigger group of people. We used their thanksgiving box this year and they sent everything that we needed ,right down to the turkey! Now, if they only sent someone to make everything and cleanup after! Maybe in 2020.
Dressing better.
I love renting clothing and accessories! This is so much fun and I wish I would've known about this sooner! I always have something to wear, and my closet isn't stuffed! I literally go shopping every week. The monthly clothing rental services I love and use are Rent the Runway and Letote. If you check out my instagram, you'll see I always have something new to wear but it's not costing me a fortune. I pay one monthly fee for unlimited rentals. For Rent the runway I purchase the four items for $139 a month and $64 on Letote for three clothing pieces and two accessories. If I love something, I can purchase it and make it mine for a sweet discount! Bonus, you have less laundry to do because that's all included in the service, as well as damage insurance for the unexpected. What you can expect is to look fabulous and have fun with fashion without the risk.
Earning more Money
With apps nowadays, there are plenty of ways to make some extra cash. From Uber to DoorDash to dog walker, there are numerous ways to make some easy extra cash in you free time. The App I prefer using is Poshmark (get $5 when you use shestheposh) which is a reselling app. I sell items I'm no longer using and also, some new items I've found on clearance for a small profit. I simply list the item and then ship it out when it sells. I decide how much time I put into it and I make a couple hundred bucks a month.
Working out more
You don't have to go to Planet Fitness to get a good workout. With YouTube and smart phones, you can easily find a workout in the time you have available. I like to use my fabfitfun workouts that come with my yearly subscription, but I've also enjoyed other workouts for free on Pinterest and YouTube. You can also just get out and walk. I'm always taking my son out whenever their is a break in the weather. Luckily the sun and outdoors are free for all.
So bring on 2019! We got this, with just a little help. Make this year your best year yet. Write down your goals and make this the year that you stick with it. "People with goals succeed, because they know where they're going." - Earl Nightingale
