35 years older and no wiser. 35 random facts about me.

I just turned 35 and thought it would be great fun to give you exactly 35 random facts about me. Dick Van Dyke said "You have to be able to laugh at yourself. Attitude is almost more important than what happens to you." So let's have some laughs! Get yourself a beverage and let's get to it. These are in no order, I typed them as I thought of them!

 1. My favorite animal is sharks. And my favorite shark is the Goblin Shark.

2. My Son and I have the same Birthday July 24.

3. I have a B.S. in Mathematics but I work in Marketing.

4. I love the smell of books in bookstores and libraries.

5. When I was in high school, I use to wear a sports bra over my regular bra to try to make my chest smaller because I was embarrassed of my body.

6. I was never really popular in school, but people knew who I was.

7. I'm naturally a shy person and I still struggle with it.


8. I have amazing intuition. I can just sense things and I always try to listen to it. Every time I do, I'm never steered wrong.

9 I dream about my Grandmother who passed away and I truly believe I'm talking to her. I believe dreams are a telephone to heaven.

10. When I pray I talk to God like he is my friend.

11. I don't really have a bad temper but I do get heated when I feel like someone is disrespecting me or my family.

12. My first job out of college was working for a lumber company. Even though I am a girly girl, I was able to work my way up the corporate ladder in that man's world. I was one of a handful of female leaders.

13. I pray for strangers all the time. Especially when I see cars that are broken down on the side of road. I always ask that they get home safely and soon, that they can afford the repair, and that it doesn't ruin their day, week month or year.

14. I'm afraid of spiders and all bugs because I have had bad allergic reactions to bites.

15. I'm really good with money and have always been able to save.

16. I 'm great at saving money on purchases too and I always find the best deal.

17. I've gotten every job that I have interviewed for, I think I must sell myself well.

18. I use to collect Barbies up until my college days.

19 I love the show "I Love Lucy"

20. I'm a terrible speller. Sometimes spellcheck can't even save me.

21. I love watching The Real Housewives on Bravo for the fashion as well as the drama.

22. When I was home sick from school, I would watch talk shows like Maury. It always made me feel better about myself and think my life isn't so bad.

23. I love buying vintage fashion pieces. I feel like I get the energy of the beautiful women that have worn the items before me.

24. I love watching the Science Channel specials they have on space.

25. I have one tattoo that I got with my sister.

26. People seem to open up to me, even if they don't know me very well.

27. I'm a good secret keeper. If you ask me not to tell anyone I don't, not even my husband.

28. I'm allergic to Lysol.  I breakout into a bad rash with huge welts.

29. I broke my collarbone hanging upside down on my swing set. I never saw my Dad leap or run so hard in all my life coming to get me after my fall.

30. If you do something once with me you may have to do it again and again. My Dad always say "Everything is a damn tradition with you Jess!"

31. I have trouble with swearing. I really have a potty mouth.

32. I rent most of my clothes and I love it!

33. I have a great wit. You can't be around me without smiling or having a good laugh. It is impossible.

34. I suffer from insomnia. I totally understand why people use it has a form of torture.

35. I refuse to read books on tablets. I love the feeling of a book in my hand.
