Don't worry about labels, worry about your own chic! My newest designer dupes!
It's sales season and of course I went shopping! I took advantage of the savings and upgraded my designer dupes collection. For those of you that don't know what I mean by designer dupes, I would like to take the time to explain the difference between dupes and knock-offs. Dupes are made by other brands who aren't pretending to be the designer. They have a similar design as the original but are usually made from different materials. Knock-offs put the designer name on the items claiming to be the real deal! This is terrible and is something I don't support! This is stealing and fashion plagiarizing! In some countries if you're caught purchasing these items you have to pay a huge fine. Not everyone can or wants to pay the designer price, so dupes are a great alternative!
My Collection consists of mainly shoes and handbags, I'm totally an accessory girl! Love the "icing on the cake"! Here are the newest additions to my dupe collection. I separate these by the designer they are inspired by. I also included photos of the original items for comparison. Prices and where to purchase items are linked in the pictures so just click. Feel free to jump ahead to your favorite designer and skip the ones you just don't care for. I also have another blog post of other dupes in my collection that I will link here.

This designer is known for their bohemian style! I have currently three items from this designer and two dupes. This designer style tends to be more on the trendy side, and the two inspired pieces I have will most likely be out of style in a few years.
The Chloe Scalloped round flats dupe

Chloe Dupes |
I just love the simplistic style of these flats. For me, I feel like these shoes are not something I want to invest. Truthfully I'm just not sure how much I would wear this style. I found these dupes at Aldo for an incredible price of $20 and the color is to die for! Now I know these shoes will only last me a season or two because they are not made of the highest quality and are not real leather. Something to always keep in mind when buying dupes. The reason the can cost a lot less is the materials that are used.

DSW Chloe Pixie Dupe |
I am just loving the round bag trend and have been thinking about this bag for a while. My concerns are the functionality of the small bag and if I would still like it in a year. When I saw this alternative at DSW for $34 I jumped at the chance. So far I'm in love with the style and function. I may have to save up and ditch the dupe for the original next year.
Gucci Mules

Actual Gucci Bee Mules |
Now Gucci is known for their amazing style and being a little over the top. Wow, it's kinda like I'm describing myself? I currently own two items from this fashion house and three shoe dupes, all from Steve Madden.

Steve Madden Dupes |
The newest in my collect are these Steve madden fur dupes for $37 on sale. I've been totally eye humping the Princeton bee mules from Gucci. I'm hoping these will someday be mine and that I can find them second hand. But these dupes will have to do for now. They are super cute and are real leather. They seem well made and this cute embroidered bee in the front is to die for!

Actual Chanel PVC Bag |
Oh Coco Chanel, my sister from another mister! I just find her so inspiring! She was so ahead of her time and the original girl boss. I currently own nothing from this fashion house and hope to find a beautiful vintage handbag and shoe for my collection. I want to go vintage not just for the huge price savings, but also I hear that the bags from the 80's and 90's are just made so much better than now. But for now, I decided to use a dupe for the clear bag trend and cap toe sling back shoe that is happening this season.

Amazon Chanel Dupes |
I found this bag on Amazon for only $30. This seems to be a sturdy plastic and I just love the color and function. Plus, clear bags are a must now since concerts and stadiums are requiring them. This trend also forces you to keep your bags really clean since everything can be seen. There are many designers that are styling this trend but I loved using the Chanel PVC as my inspiration because the bright and fun colors.

Steve Madden Dupes |
This shoes takes you back in time for sure. I thought this looked like a grandma shoe but then I realized that it is such a classic fashion staple. This looks so cute with jeans and now I found a cute dupe for a tenth of the price of the real thing. I'm not sure how long this shoe will be on trend and I feel like there are plenty of good alternatives to the real thing. Like these Steve Maddens I found for only $69 compared to the $800 plus price point of the originals.
Valentino

ActualValentino Rockstud |
This fashion house in known for their bold fashion and the Rockstud. They put this on shoes, handbags and jewelry pieces. I currently own nothing from this brand but have almost purchased some pool slides. The only reason I haven't is due to the high price of the shoes. The rockstud pumps cost the same as the LV Speedy over $1,000! I have been searching the second hand market and know that I just have to be patient. I will just have to wait for the hype to die down. For now I have two shoe dupes inspired by the brand.
Valentino Rockstud Dupes
Jessica Simpson Dupes |
The newest to my collection are these rockstud inspired pumps by Jessica Simpson for $69. I haven't had the chance to wear these yet due to my broken toe but I'm definitely impressed. With close inspection you can tell they're not a high quality shoe, but when they are worn they look great. I think people will give them a double take. Plus I get to see how much I will reach for this style. Part of the reason I haven't started saving for these is I'm not sure how often I would be able to wear them. I love dupe alternatives because I can try a trend without guilt or a lot of financial commitment.
Stuart Weitzman

Actual Stuart Weitzman More Pearl |
The maker of the boots everyone needs to own! I mean everyone! I currently have two pairs of boots from this fashion house and I totally recommend them second hand. I found amazing deals on Poshmark (get $5 off when you use my code shestheposh). I have linked some here for you. No one makes a better boot! I'm planning on adding the leather 50/50 version to my collection at some point this year. The dupe I found is more of a trendy style but I still can't get it out of my head: the Stuart Wietzman "More Pearl" sandals. There is something about this shoe that I find so glamorous and beautiful. I haven't bought the real thing because I am worried this love will fade and I'll regret the purchase. I found these Madden girl dupes that are a close second.
Madden Girl Dupe |
I saw these dupes when I did a google search for pearl sandals. These retail for about $59 but I found a new pair on Poshmark for just $26! Remember to always check there for any item that you're looking for. You can save big! Again, I haven't had the chance to wear these, but I'm hoping to rock them soon. They look so cute and fun! There's also a pink version of this shoe that I'm thinking about buying.
Dupes are fabulous and should never be something to be ashamed of.They are an opportunity to try designer trends for a fraction of the cost of the original fashion house. You don't need to spend a lot of money to have great style. I love looking at fashion magazines to get inspiration. All fashion is inspired by others. No doubt that the Gucci Marmont Flap was inspired by the Chanel Classic Flap (see below). The monogram print craze you see now was originally done by Louis Vuitton. Fashion is evolving and ever changing. Don't worry about designer labels, just worry about your own chic.
